Would You Like To Serve On The HLA-WA Board Of Trustees?

The Hearing Loss Association of Washington (HLA-WA), the leading advocate for people with hearing loss in Washington State, needs you. HLA-WA advises legislative leaders regarding such important issues as hearing aid insurance legislation (HAIL) and works constantly with government agencies and other organizations to make everyday life more accessible for people with hearing loss.

A grant program encourages local chapters to reach out and let the world know about our association. We are making hearing loss just a little easier.

Interested in being part of it? HLA-WA is seeking nominations for its Board of Trustees. Any HLAA member can apply. Maybe you're hard of hearing yourself, or you're a family member or a friend. Maybe you're even a hearing disability rights advocate or a hearing loss professional. Whatever you are, if you're passionate about hearing loss, we have a role for you.

The HLA-WA Board has 18 elected three-year positions, six of which are open each year. From its members, the Board of Trustees elects a president, vice-president, secretary and treasurer, who are limited to two consecutive terms in office. There are no term limits for board membership. You must have access to email to serve on the Board.

If you are interested in being part of a great organization doing great work, or know someone who is, please contact Nominations Committee chairperson Bert Lederer.
